Notches in the Armor: Where to Start Examining Your Employment Activities Print


The OFCCP has undergone some changes in recent years with the change in administration and a renewed interest in federal contractor compliance.  Fiscal years 2007 and 2008 were conducted under the direction of Charles James, the politically appointed Director of the OFCCP under the Bush Administration.  In late 2009, Patricia Shui was appointed Director of the OFCCP under the Obama Administration.  While this change in leadership may indicate a difference in the emergent trends, there is a strong reason to believe that with a focus on federal funding, the OFCCP's investigation and enforcement efforts will become stronger in coming years, and historical trends may be among the best predictors of what's to come for federal contractors available now.
